Meet our team
The school opened in June 2009 and in September commenced delivering Certificate courses after achieving recognition from the Department of Education. We have now trained over 310 students and are proud to have a high employment rate for our graduates. We also have trainees with us that are both school based and full time adult trainees.
Our students have ranged in age from 14 - 64. Our class sizes are kept small and personal with only up to 8 students per class.
We also deliver training to trainees throughout Queensland having had students in Ayr, Gladston, Mackay, Warwick, Brisbane, Kingaroy and the Sunshine Coast. Please contact us for information on this service.
Krishna entered the floristry industry in 2006 whilst still managing her family construction company. After completing a non recognised course she realised there was a definite need for quality training in the industry and spent the next twelve months working and developing the training package along with Sue to enable the college to become a Nationally Recognised Training Organisation. She continues to run the day to day organisation of the business and also has a passion for the industry. Krishna also holds her TAE40116
Sue is our Head Trainer and Assessor with over 33 years experience in the floristry industry and holds a TAE40116 qualification. Sue has a passion for teaching and enjoys watching the development of her students, some of whom have little confidence when they commence the course and grow into competent shop ready florists, happy and confident in their skills. Sue ensures she keeps up with the industry by still working in shops on occasion.
Alyssa joint our team in 2013. Since starting with us she has also completed her Certificate III in Floristry and has her TAE40116.
Alyssa alongside Krishna run our administration team. She manages all of our social media and could likely be your first point on contact.
She is also assisting our students with any form of work they may require completing our course including printing off work assessments, filing, scanning etc.
